  • ESBES Symposium

    The ESBES Symposium is the main event series of the European Society of Biochemical Engineering Science. It takes place every second year in an attractive European city and serves as a unique meeting place for the scientific community in the biochemical engineering field.

  • Malcolm Lilly Award at the ESBES Symposium

    In commemoration of Professor Malcolm Lilly, one of the pioneers of biochemical engineering, the ESBES Board in 2000 decided to introduce an award to be presented to a promising young scientist or engineer working in the field of biochemical engineering during the ESBES symposium: the Malcolm Lilly Award.

  • European Congress of Applied Biotechnology (ECAB)

    The ECAB - European Congress of Applied Biotechnology series was established in 2011 and is organized by the national biotechnology organization of the host country together with ESBES. To foster interdisciplinary exchange, ECAB takes place together with ECCE, the European Congress of Chemical Engineering. The first joint event, ECAB/ECCE 2011 in Berlin, was very successful and attracted 3000 participants.

  • Affinity

    The biennial Affinity conferences focus on molecular binding and recognition and are organized by the International Society for Molecular Recognition (ISMR) with contribution of ESBES.
