ESBES 2026 Symposium Returns to Delft with Focus on “Biomanufacturing 4.0”
The ESBES 2026 Symposium will take place in Delft from November 30 to December 2, marking a return to the city after its last hosting in 2002. Held at the Aula on the TU Delft campus, the event highlights Delft’s rich biotechnological heritage and vibrant modern research environment. Following the success of ESBES 2024 in Copenhagen, the symposium aims to bring together both returning participants and new members of the biochemical engineering community. The theme “Biomanufacturing 4.0” will spotlight digital innovations in bioproduction, including AI, machine learning, and digital twins. Attendees can expect specialized sessions on topics such as Process Analytical Technology, metabolic engineering, regenerative medicine, and food biotechnology. Special attention will also be given to advancements in cellular agriculture, including precision fermentation and cultured food production.
