Malcolm Lilly Award

To honour Professor Malcolm Lilly, the founding father of biochemical engineering, the European Society for Biochemical Engineering (ESBES) offers, since 2000, a prestigious award to a promising young scientist or engineer working in the field of biochemical engineering.

PhD students and postdocs were invited to submit a one-page abstract for consideration. The abstracts were reviewed by a jury and shortlisted candidates (up to 5) were selected to present an oral lecture in a special session.

In 2014 this prestigious award came with a cash prize (€ 2,000.00) and an award ceremony, which took place at the closing session of the conference.
